Philip Hunt and his wife Lori have been serving as church-planting missionaries in Africa since 1992. In 1993, they participated in a church planting team that established Faith Baptist Church of Riverside in Kitwe, Zambia. This church has been instrumental in planting several other churches in the Kitwe area. In 2015, they joined a new team to start Kitwe Church, where Phil now serves as the Pastor for Preaching & Vision (kitwechurch.com).

Phil’s primary goal is to see the gospel spread to every village, town, and city in Africa through healthy, reproducing local churches. He is passionate about training the next generation of God-called leaders who will share this vision and work for healthy, reproducing churches across Africa. In 2006, Central Africa Baptist College & Seminary was founded in Kitwe, Zambia (cabuniversity.com), and Phil has been serving as its President since its inception.

Philip & Lori were also involved in founding Faith Children’s Village Orphanage in 2003. This ministry is now managed by competent, godly Zambian leadership. Phil continues to serve on the FCV Africa Board of Directors (faithinzambia.com). Additionally, he serves on the board of IBMGlobal, an international missionary sending agency based in the USA (IBMGlobal.org).

Philip and Lori are the parents of seven children: Cherith, Austin, Collin, Ashlyn, Carman, Tamaryn, and Corban.
